We’re also working to provide controller support for those who want to play our game in a different way. For example, we’re iterating on PvP content like the Cycle of Strife to make it more accessible, alongside late-game PvE content like the Helliquary to make it more engaging. This past week, Blizzard, the game’s creator, put out a statement on the development progress for Immortal and therein delivered the above surprises.įollowing feedback provided by test participants of the Closed Alpha, our team has been tuning core and endgame features. The good news outweighs that though, in my opinion – controller support is inbound for the title, making it possible for Chromebook owners worldwide to have a taste of Diablo on the go! Which one do you want first? Oh, the bad news? Alright – Diablo Immortal has been delayed until 2022. Well, folks, I have good news and I have bad news. If Chromebook users would have to navigate the game world and slay demons with their thumbs, I feel it would have made it pointless to even mention its existence on the platform. Unfortunately, the most important feature for Chrome OS gameplay has been missing from any mention of the game up until now – gamepad support.

That excitement has since completely dissipated, and I’ll explain why in a bit.

Being the first foray for Blizzard into the mobile space with its Diablo franchise, fans would normally have been excited aside from the fact that its fans aren’t mobile gamers (Sarcasm intended – “Do YoU gUyS nOt HaVe PhOnEs?”) With that being said, I’ve personally been very excited about the prospect of the series appearing on the Google Play Store because it meant that Chromebook owners would be the only ones who could play it on a PC.

We’ve reached out to Power A for comment and will update if they reply. After receiving a new trailer at ChinaJoy 2020, Diablo Immortal was thought to be right on track for its mobile debut. Perhaps the issue came to light after GDC and neither Microsoft nor Power A is willing to open up about it.
World of demons controller support Bluetooth#
If HyperDevBox is correct, a Bluetooth issue of some sort seems to be the root of the MOGA support problem. almost did not get released due to this documentation bug.” I do not know if Microsoft's documentation was incorrect MOGA to generate incorrect documentation.

It has to do with the MOGA and/or Microsoft documentation on Bluetooth being incorrect. However, Microsoft's review process very long with little or no information returned, this release over one month.I'm not sure where the fault lies. “The MOGA controller coding was very easy to add and accomplished inside of two hours. Spectral Souls’ recent MOGA-enhanced update does at least provide a clue into the quagmire. In fact, Power A tells us the controller doesn’t officially support Windows Phone 8 yet! And if that was truly the case, we’d see more than two controller-enabled games five months after the peripheral’s release. Based on what we heard at GDC, you’d think that adding support would be quick and easy. Neither Microsoft nor MOGA’s producer Power A have explained why so few Windows Phone 8 games support the controller just yet.
